With his ability to read architechtural plans, and his ability to relate to the architect’s role in the design and construction process, Jeff is uniquesly qualified as an architectural illustrator. He has been fortunate to combine his love of drawing and his love of architecture into a very fulfilling career as an illustrator.
Working with architectural firms across the country over many years, today Jeff’s cliens are mostly archtects located in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento. Although his studio is located in the Sierra Foothills, he is able to stay in touch with his urban clients on a minute-to minute basis, using today’s technology. Site visits and in-person meetigns are always an option when they are deemed beneficial to the process of creating illustrations.
Jeff welcomes new clients and looks forward to building new long-term business relationships, since they ahve been the cornerstones fo his illustration practice for over 26 years.
Nevada County projects include Rincon del Rio, South Hill Village and Hospice of the Foothills. Jeff also painted a very large wall mural for the Nevada County Exhibit at the 2012 State Fair held at Cal Expo, which featured the coverd bridge a Bridgeport. Renderings were completed for each of the above local projects, athough only one has been built to date, the Hospice facility on Ridge Road. Jeromy and Sara Laurin, the owners of Caleb’s Creamery & Coffee and Blue Cow Deli invite you to spend the afternoon in downtown Penn Valley and enjoy a great lunch and then a tasty treat afterwards. The Deli offers a relaxing environment for the enjoyment of mouth-watering sandwiches, Panini, salads and soups. Customer favorites include the South County Turkey with Chipotle Sauce, the Chinese chicken salad that has been said deserving of an award, and the Chicken Pesto Panini with Fresh Spinach. It’s a great place to order ahead if on the run, and an even better place to meet friends and enjoy lunch on the patio. The Blue Cow Deli was recently received accolades in the edible RENO-TAHOE magazine a publication that celebrates the local food culture, season by season. “For delicious and fresh sandwiches and salads, try the quaint Blue Cow deli in Penn Valley. Its proprietors, Sara and Jeromy Laurin also own and operate Caleb’s Creamery & Coffee in Penn Valley,” wrote Amanda Burden
After lunch stroll over to Caleb’s Creamery & Coffee, where Jeromy and Sara offer many treats to satisfy your sweet tooth. Jeromy makes an amazing milk shake or malt, and Sara’s favorite is the Afogato, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate chunks drizzled with two shoots of espresso, (and yes, they can make it decaffeinated). The two establishments are close enough together that you can enjoy a walk between the two, even stopping to explore treasure chest thrift shops or Julie’s Cottage and Jodi B’s, both specializing in repurposed furniture.
Blue Cow Deli is opened Monday thru Saturday, 10:30 -3:30 and their phone number is 432.5500. Caleb’s Creamery & Coffee is opened Monday thru Friday 6am - 8pm, Saturday 7am - 8pm, and Sunday 8am - 6pm and their phone number is 432.3129.
