We help families in many ways including, but not limited to, minimal financial aid, clothing, services and care.
The Butterfly Fund does not discriminate anyone and everyone who has a child within the US with a serious illness or event, may inquire with us.

Because it is very important to The Butterfly Fund to know and keep in touch with each and every one of their families, The Fund does not have more than 250 medically fragile children at one time.
To have a child considered to be a part of The Butterfly Fund, please submit an appication when we are accepting them. We accept Applications ONLY during our open enrollement which happens approx

Biographical Info
Lori Jayne first discovered Penn Valley in 1993 and moved here for a better environment to raise her four children. She has been volunteering her time ever since at local events, as well as serving on the Ready Springs PTC board, being a Girl Scout leader for 6 years, and even cleaning kitty cages at the Nevada County Animal Shelter for the past 10 years.
Lori has volunteered with the Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years, and four of those years she served on the Chamber Board of Directors. Currently she is serving as an Advisor to the Chamber.
She has spent 18+ years in banking, including 11 years with Bank of America and 7 years with our local Penn Valley office of Placer Sierra Bank, in Operations and Management positions. In 2004 she explored other career horizons by obtaining her real estate license to both process and originate residential and commercial mortgage loans.
She is very excited that she will still be able to help her mortgage clients through Tri Counties Bank, and at the same time take care of her banking customers in Penn Valley. Lori is looking forward to seeing all of her old banking clients and providing the excellent service she is known for.
Her goal with the Chamber, as well as with her role with Tri Counties Bank, is to promote business in the area, so we can assure that our future generations will have not only ‘a way to make a living’, but the rural quality of life that she and her family continue to enjoy.
