About The Chamber

The Penn Valley Area Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1979 and was recently restructured to meet the demands of the area's continuing growth in population and ever-expanding business diversity.

Our mission is to promote and stimulate business growth and development to benefit area businesses and the communities they serve. To facilitate our mission, we are continually broadening our media outreach through community involvement and radio, TV, and newspaper coverage, in addition to application of the Internet and distribution of electronic media.

The Chamber is proud to be part of the area's growth, as well as a contributor to it.

The corporation is organized to achieve the following objectives:

• Initiating, sponsoring, promoting and carrying out plans and activities which tend to encourage, extend, further, and protect the growth, development and prosperity of commerce, business, industry and agriculture in Penn Valley and the surrounding area
• Preserving the competitive enterprise system of business by: creating a better understanding and appreciation of the importance of the businessman and a concern for his problems
• Promoting business and community growth and development by: promoting an economic program designed to strengthen and expand the income potential of all business within Penn Valley and surrounding area; promoting programs of civic, political, social and cultural nature which are designed to increase the functional and aesthetic values of the community

Visitors Center

 In Penn Valley we operate a Chamber Visitors Center located in the village center. Our staff assists visitors and people interested in visiting or relocating to the area, often with the ideal of retiring. Lake Wildwood, a gated community in Penn Valley with 2841 member lots and a population of more than 5,000, is especially popular with retirees. Calls are fielded on a variety of topics such as local and regional events, business referrals, questions about medical and transportation services and much more. Upon request a comprehensive relocation package with maps, information about schools and employment, hospital services, brochures about the area and current local newspapers is available for pick up or mailed at not cost.
