Biographical Info

Scallywags Tavern is a family friendly, casual restaurant in Smartsville and is fast becoming a popular spot in the greater Penn Valley area as well as for travelers on Highway 20. The restaurant opened in January of 2017 following a more than two-year remodeling project at the site of the former Driftwood Inn. The restaurant serves a full lunch and dinner menu daily as well as breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Menu items feature classic American comfort food and more as well as beer and wine along with spectacular desserts made in house.

Scallywags’ owners Lisa and Nick Rogers also own Skippers Cove Marina at Englebright Reservoir just a short distance down Mooney Flat road from the restaurant. The Marina is a popular spot to rent houseboats, ski boats, and kayaks and Scallywags is the place to stop both before and after spending the day on the lake at Englebright.

Located at the corner of Highway 20 and Mooney Flat Road, Scallywags is open Monday – Friday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM with breakfast being served on the weekend.
